Beef vs Chicken Burger: Which Chipy Burger Should You Order?
By the Chipy kitchen ·
Beef vs chicken burger is the oldest debate in fast food, and there is no wrong answer. They are simply different: beef is rich and savoury, chicken is crunchy and lighter. At Chipy we take both seriously, with smash beef burgers on one side of the menu and crispy chicken fillet burgers on the other. Here is how they compare, and which to pick for your mood.
Beef: rich, juicy and seared
Our beef burgers are smash burgers: each patty is pressed thin on a hot griddle so the edges caramelise and crisp while the middle stays juicy, and the cheese melts straight into it. The taste is deep and savoury. Read what is a smash burger for the full story.
Start with Chipy's Original Beef, our signature single patty smash burger with cheese, pickles, mayo mustard and BBQ sauce. The Mushroom Madness adds sautéed mushrooms and ranch, and the Beef N' Pepperoni adds pepperoni and crunchy chips. Every one is on the beef burgers page.
Chicken: crunchy, juicy and saucy
Our chicken burgers are built on a crispy, zinger-style fillet: crunch outside, juicy chicken inside. The Crispy Original keeps it classic with iceberg and garlic mayo. The Korean Kick and Dynamite Kick coat the fillet in Korean or dynamite sauce, and the Cheezy Dream has cheese inside the fillet.
Prefer chicken that is not fried? Melted Magic uses grilled chicken with cheese, jalapeños and pickles. See every one on the chicken burgers and zinger burgers pages.
Which is spicier?
Neither, by default: both sides of the menu run from no chilli to properly hot. With no chilli at all, there is Chipy's Original Beef or the Crispy Original. For heat, the Fiery Jalapeño Beef or the Hot N' Crispy. The Beefy Inferno is one of the hottest burgers on our menu. Our Mild or Spicy guide sorts them all.
Going big
Very hungry? On the beef side, the Monster Beef, Mushroom Majesty and Beefy Inferno all use two patties. On the chicken side, the Crispy Double Dose, Korean Dose and Dynamite Dose stack two fillets. Every one is on our double patty burgers page. Want more on a single burger instead? Add an extra Beef Smash Patty or Chicken Zinger Fillet to any burger. Sharing? Two burgers and a box of loaded fries go a long way; see the types of loaded fries.
Cannot choose? Have both
The Beast Mode puts a beef patty and a crispy chicken fillet in one bun, with Korean sauce, iceberg, pickles and mustard mayo. Or order one beef and one chicken burger with a friend and swap halves. For more on what makes a burger great, read our guide to the best burger in Karachi.
